Minimum buy-in from R500 This is the most common form of Poker played around the world. Players play against each other and the house takes a rake or commission out of each pot. Players are dealt two cards each and then along with five communal cards make the best five card poker hand from the seven cards.
Heads-Up tables will be available to players upon request. Heads-Up tables’ rake from as low as R5 a hand or an hourly rate will be charged for the game.
This is a tournament that will be held every second Friday of the month. Four Emperors Palace managers will have a bounty placed on their heads and each of the four managers will play in the tournament. A player that knocks out a manager from the tournament will be the prize winner of that bounty that was placed on the manager’s head. These prizes can be in the form of cash or an entry into a future tournament.
This is a progressive jackpot that is paid when a top poker hand is beaten by a stipulated better poker hand. To qualify for the bad beat jackpot the losing hand must be at least four of a kind 5’s and must involve four or more players.
These are poker tournaments that will be played every Monday evening (or at management’s discretion). The initial entry (for all players) into the free-roll is FREE. Players that are knocked out early can then either pay a set fee re-buy back into the tournament which would allow them to continue playing in the tournament or they can decide to exit the tournament without purchasing a re-buy.
Blinds ranging from 5/10, 10/20, and 25/50 will be offered, bigger games will be available on request These are the table blinds that will be available to players. They simply show the blind levels at the table e.g. 5/10 means the small blind puts in R5 & the big blind R10 (minimum buy-ins to games will be stipulated).
Plus daily Omaha cash games.
Omaha is another form of Poker that differs from Hold ‘Em. In Omaha players receive four cards to start instead of two (there are other differences). We will run two Omaha Tournaments a month and will also open Omaha Cash Tables on selected evenings (or at management’s discretion). Players will be invited to these nights. Look out for the information boards for upcoming Omaha games.
One Sunday a month
This is a tournament that we will commence on certain Sundays during each month and will increase in regularity depending on popularity. Tournament buy-in schedules will be published on the information boards in the Gladiators Poker Room.
